Living Like a Local

We moved to Iwakuni Japan!

A few years ago my husband Tom and I started this crazy journey of military life, It seems like we have been living this life for a century now just because we are so used to picking up everything and moving our entire lives to different places, this time it is overseas and quite literally on the other side of the world from our "home". But in all reality wherever my husband is has become my home as cheesy as it sounds, and then we've been fortunate enough to add to our clan with my first fur baby, Drake and our baby boy Archie, Some think it's crazy that we wanted to move to Japan, why not stay in the states if you had a choice? I really can't explain it and we have only been here for a couple of days but I already feel like my true self is just going to explode here. Everywhere you turn you're in awe of history and architecture, overwhelmed by signs and language you can't understand, but it's exciting and you are learning and growing right before your eyes!

I told myself I wanted to try it all, and I am sticking to that with  the "Living Like a Local" mindset! Follow along on the blog of all of our day to day "normal" adventures and all of our travels while we are here!
